Thank you for your interest in contributing to the PozQoL stories!
We welcome stories from people and organisations using PozQoL in clinical care, community and peer services, research, policy, program evaluation, and other settings.
Your story can help others understand how PozQoL is used in practice, what you learned, what worked well, and what you would recommend to others.
Who can contribute?
We invite contributions from people, organisations, services, and agencies using PozQoL to understand and support quality of life among people living with HIV, including:
- Community and peer support workers: Individuals in community or peer-led services who use PozQoL to evaluate programs and understand client wellbeing
- Healthcare providers: Clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals integrating PozQoL into their practice to monitor patient quality of life
- Researchers: Academics and field researchers using PozQoL to gather insights into the quality of life of people living with HIV
- Program evaluators: Those responsible for assessing the impact of HIV-related programs, using PozQoL as part of their evaluation toolkit
- Policymakers and public health officials: Professionals implementing PozQoL in broader health strategies or initiatives to improve the quality of life for people living with HIV
What to include in your story
To help others learn from your experience, we encourage you to include:
- Introduction and context: Introduce yourself or your organisation. Explain why you decided to use PozQoL and where you used it.
- How you used PozQoL: Outline how you used PozQoL, including your setting, process, timing, and whether you used paper, digital, or other service workflows.
- Insights and lessons: Explain what using PozQoL helped you understand about quality of life for people living with HIV.
- Challenges, solutions, and what you wish you’d known: Share any challenges, how you addressed them, and what you wish you had known before starting.
- Tips and advice: Offer practical advice for people or organisations considering PozQoL.
- Reflections: Share key takeaways from your experience.
- Links and contact information: Include relevant links or contact information you are happy to publish.
Sharing written or video stories
We welcome stories in both written and video formats.
- Written stories:
- Please write your story in English, using plain and simple language
- Keep it clear and concise
- Feel free to provide an additional version in another language if you wish
- Video stories:
- Ensure you have consent from everyone appearing in the video
- Provide a written transcript for accessibility
Images
We encourage you to share one or more relevant images to help bring your story to life. By including your own images, you help make your story more engaging and authentic.
Please make sure that:
- You have the right to use the image for this purpose
- If the image includes identifiable individuals, you have their consent to use it
- For images of children, you have permission from their parents or legal guardians
- The image is high-quality and suitable for publication (e.g., header images should be large enough to use in banners)
